MADINI MAZINGIRA NA USTAWI WA JAMII ANNUAL CONFERENCE, EXHIBITION & AWARDS

Mazingira na Ustawi wa Jamii Annual Conference, Exhibition & Awards is a UIG community development initiative seeking to better the relationship between development stakeholders with local youth and women groups within the six coastal counties. The program has very particular focus on Village Savings & Loan Associations (VSLAs) and groups focusing on community peace, conservation of the environment and natural resources. In partnership with Base Titanium, Kenya School of Government – Matuga and County Governments UIG will undertake a mapping exercise for the program target groups to generate useful data and observations which will be the subject of a stakeholders’ forum to be facilitated by the Ministry of Public Service, Youth & Gender Affairs in Kwale County during the month of April 2019.

The mapping exercise report and the stakeholders’ forum will lead to the adoption of strategies and interventions for capacity building for the target beneficiaries leading to the exhibitions during the inaugural MAZINGIRA NA USTAWI WA JAMII ANNUAL CONFERENCE to be held in March 2020. The conference and exhibition will create a favourable platform for our target groups and development stakeholders to network and create linkages that will promote betterment of community based conservation initiatives and promote the economic wellbeing of local youths and women.
