Mainly deals with the mining and manufacturing of Cement, with its branches in Mombasa, Bamburi  Cement. Cement has got alot of importances in out lives today.

Success stories.

Cement is used in construction houses and also making of poles thats are used for fencing any construction. Any construction may not be firm if not used using cement.

Cement is also exported to other countries hence ending up earning alot of foreign exchange for the country. It is one of the most important company depended for exportation.

ARM also offer internships to the undergraduate students from different causes. This is so helpful as they get alot of experienced and also they are exposed to the field where they are able to learn fast and able to interact with different people from various counties.

ARM may also offer scholarships to the needy students especially the graduate students, so as to help them in accomodation and school fees while in their universities. Its very important to offer any help to the needy students where needed so us to create a future for them when their time comes.

ARM also offer assistance in road construction and bridges, as a support and also to appreciate our country. By offering assistance to the country, it shows unity among the people from around the country and and creates closeness to one another.

Challenges

Poor infrastructure for the transportation of the mining or the manufactred product to the required destination. Poor infrastructure may cause accidents to some points and also causes delay.

High tax charged by the governemnt causes the cement to be sold at a very high price, making it not to be affordable by most people that need to construct their houses or any other building.

Accidents and also death sometimes may occure to thise people who mine, in many case alot of people get injured and thus makes them to stay at home or at hospital, thus incuring alot of bills of which they can not afford, especially the middle class people.

At times there are conflicts between the ARM members and the people around that area, the main issue being land onwership and building houses for accomodation. Most people end up using the land for the ARM for their domestic purposes and this causes the ARM people to demolish their houses so as retain their lands, this causes alot of conflicts among people.

 

Way forwad

Use of strong boundaries so as to act as a barrier between the ARM company and the local people living along so as to avoid conflicts.

Improvement on infrastructure so as to reduce the chances of accidents and also reduce the time taken for the transportation to make it as short as possible and not any exhaustion to people.

Strong equipments should be offered to those people who mine so as in cases of accidents they dont get injured dat much and also to reduce the chances of death.

Medical covers should be the first one to be dealt with, so as the employees are able to get treatment as soon as possible so that they are able to recover quickly and work hard so as to increase the productivity.
