We are a community based organization supporting youth socio economic empowerment within the coastal region of Kenya in Africa. Specifically our projects and programs target youth in Kwale County, Mombasa County, Kilifi County, Tana River County, Taita Taveta County & Lamu County. Our desire is to create an enabling environment that addresses the problem of marginalization and exclusion of youth from development opportunities leading to youth vulnerability and exposure to manipulation and exploitation by radical extremist groups. We believe in a multi stakeholder approach to the problems affecting the youth, hence our focus on the role of government institutions and private sector companies in creating youth economic empowerment solutions. Our programs and initiatives include the Tujengane Tuinuane youth skills for business and CVE, Youth Action for Open Governance and Accountability (YAOGA), Tujengane Tuinuane Youth Business Club, Youth Business Plan Competition and Roundtable Forums, Business, Career and Leadership Mentoring Program, Environment and Natural Resources Program for Youth Clubs and Groups, Sports and Talent Development for Youth Economic Empowerment, Holiday and Work Community Volunteer Program and the Ummah Resource Center.

I have so far trained my group and can say that several members have managed to expand their small businesses by pooling their resources as well as getting finance from the County Youth Business Fund.
