Kwale Huduma Center Manager Mwanajuma Massa and her team appreciated our visit and the engagement on local content supplier development project partnership. The Kwale Huduma center will be very resourceful supporting SMEs with KRA statutory compliance issues. The facility has 3 KRA officers who through the partnership with the local content project could be very useful furthering the overall goal and objectives of the local content supplier development project.

Other useful officers and services that the project will benefit from include procurement – especially with regard to National Government AGPO certification for businesses owned by youth, women and PWDs. Through the institution Kwale women entrepreneurs can as well access business funding from the Women Enterprise fund.

Ummah Initiative is currently engaging potential stakeholders who can help the local content project more successful, The local content project has been initiated by Base Titanium in partnership with the Germany Agency for International Development – GIZ to ensure SMEs maximization of value chain economic opportunities within Base Titanium, other extractive sector companies, multinational corporations and even within government institutions and departments.
